Sommelier

We are looking for an experienced Sommelier to join our front of house team.

We operate as a wine bar and restaurant, with our real focus on wine, serving over 500 different wines by the bottle from an adjacent temperature controlled, humidified wine cellar that houses over 2000 bottles.

The successful applicant MUST have:
-At least 3 years wine and food service experience
-WSET Level 2 or higher
-Excellent communication skills
-Good understanding of New Zealand and International wine regions, producers and varieties
-Commonsense
-The ability to learn and work well as a team member when under pressure
-A happy, confident demeanour
-A real passion for wine, food and hospitality

This is a permanent, full time position requiring you to work 5 days a week, Tuesday to Saturday, starting early afternoon, finishing late evening/early morning.

Back of Bar Staff

We are looking for back of bar staff to work with and assist our bar staff. 

The position primarily involves washing and polishing glassware, re-stocking bar and wine stocks, assisting with the clearing of tables - anything and everything to support the bar staff in their busy role through the summer months.

The successful applicant should have:
-Good communication skills
-Commonsense
-The ability to learn and work well as a team member when under pressure
-A happy, confident demeanour

This is position will require you to work 5 days a week from Tuesday-Saturday, starting early evening, finishing late evening/early morning.
